Promoting Deep Integration of AI and the Real Economy
On April 27, 2026, the Guangdong AI Application Conference was held at the Shenzhen Futian Convention Center, focusing on the theme “Connecting Thousands of Industries, Empowering Hundreds of Sectors.” The conference adopted a “1+5” model, featuring a main session in the morning followed by five specialized matchmaking sessions in the afternoon.
Sharing Typical Cases of AI+ and Promoting Support Policies
The morning session included policy releases, sharing of typical cases, platform promotions, and innovation announcements, showcasing over 20 typical application results in areas such as AI+ manufacturing, healthcare, government services, agriculture, commerce, and public services. A series of policies supporting AI development were also introduced.
The five specialized matchmaking sessions focused on five key areas: AI+ technological innovation, manufacturing, commerce, public services, and computing power collaboration. These sessions aimed to facilitate efficient connections between technology, scenarios, and capital, promoting the deep integration of AI with the real economy.
Currently, AI technology innovation is in a period of intense activity, transitioning from laboratories to extensive application scenarios, and deeply integrating with various sectors of the economy and society. Guangdong boasts ten trillion-level industrial clusters and over 20 million business entities, providing a solid industrial foundation and rich application scenarios. The province has established a complete industrial system from foundational infrastructure and model frameworks to industry applications, resulting in a number of innovative AI products and typical application cases.
The conference featured cases from a wide range of regions, including local innovations from institutions like the Shenzhen Advanced Institute, Midea, and Yuntian Lifei, as well as outstanding examples from companies such as BOE, ByteDance, and iFLYTEK from Beijing, Shanghai, and Anhui. This attracted excellent enterprises to promote applications in Guangdong. The industry types covered included AI+ technology, manufacturing, government, public welfare, agriculture, healthcare, education, finance, and more than ten other sectors, systematically showcasing the trends of AI applications in various fields. Notable product technologies were also released, including Huawei’s Ascend series products, Tencent’s intelligent products, and Jingtai Technology’s AI-assisted drug pipeline development.
Additionally, the conference promoted Guangdong’s support policies in technology, talent, industry, and finance related to AI, allowing enterprises and institutions to accurately grasp policy directions and quickly implement policy dividends, injecting continuous momentum into the development of the AI industry.
Five Specialized Matchmaking Sessions to Facilitate Precise Supply and Demand Connections
As an important part of the conference, the five specialized matchmaking sessions were set up with different themes, conducting policy interpretations, case sharing, and precise supply-demand matching.
The AI+ technological innovation session introduced Guangdong’s capabilities in AI+ technological innovation, gathering domestic and international AI experts and industry representatives to share cutting-edge insights, practical experiences, and innovative results. It also released policies for technological innovation in the AI field and introduced representative technological achievements and demands, building a cooperative exchange platform for AI to empower technological innovation.
The AI+ manufacturing session focused on how AI empowers new industrialization, introducing Guangdong’s capabilities in AI+ manufacturing and establishing a platform for intelligent manufacturing application scenario exchanges to accelerate high-level applications of AI across all domains and times.
The AI+ commerce session highlighted Guangdong’s capabilities in AI+ commerce, combining thematic discussions with supply-demand matching, showcasing AI application advantages in cross-border e-commerce, smart logistics, and new retail, aiming to facilitate technology transactions and industry settlement.
The AI+ public services session showcased and promoted a series of AI+ achievements focusing on education, healthcare, transportation, and urban management, accelerating the deep supply-demand matching and application of AI technology in public services and promoting investment in AI.
The computing power collaboration session introduced Guangdong’s capabilities in computing power collaboration, showcasing technological innovations and integration application achievements focused on optimizing energy and efficient operation of computing infrastructure, further promoting deep collaboration and supply-demand matching between energy and computing power in planning, construction, and operation phases, enhancing the dual empowerment of energy digitization and computing power greening.
Notably, the conference also set up two major exhibition areas for application scenarios and industrial ecology, showcasing the integration applications of AI+ around embodied intelligent robots, industry applications, HarmonyOS ecosystem, smart terminals, and domestic computing power ecology, aiming to deepen the expansion of application scenarios, promote supply-demand matching, and enrich the industrial ecology, accelerating high-level applications of AI across all domains and times.
The application scenario exhibition area showcased the practical applications of cutting-edge technologies in cities, industries, and daily life. The industrial ecology exhibition area focused on computing facilities, universities and research institutions, major platforms, and AI-related policies, demonstrating how different links in the chain collaborate to solidify the development foundation.
